Call Me Little Sunshine

A silkscreen print depicting Papa Emeritus IV, the current lead singer of the Swedish band Ghost. This print is inspired by the single Call Me Little Sunshine, from their newest album. A retro 70’s aesthetic was chosen to compliment a similar aesthetic which was used for one of the band’s previous EP’s. Vintage wallpapers with floral patterns were used as inspiration for the composition of flowers. The cheerful colors and lively floral elements are offset by the presence of skulls scattered around the piece along with Papa’s unsettling appearance. This reflects Ghost’s usage of both lively and dark musical compositions and themes in their music, and how they combine the two polar opposites seamlessly.
