Humanity’s relationship with tigers is very strange. We idolize them in pop culture. They’re in films, used as mascots, are popular characters in kids entertainment, and are frequent seen in art. Yet tigers are critically endangered, with the World Wildlife Fund estimating that there are only 3,900 left in the wild. Our love for tigers has not saved them from the destruction we have caused.
