IntuWave

In this project, students designed a touch screen interface to complement any concept or product they selected. The incorporation of a touch screen could be through an app or a completely original interface, and it could be used to improve an existing product or to create a completely new one.

For this project, a microwave touch screen was designed to replace the often confusing and complicated button interface of microwaves. By making the window of the microwave the touchscreen, it allows for far more room to design a cohesive interface. The navigation is kept simple to be accessible for people of all ages, from children to seniors. Users can hide the screen when microwaving food in order to see the food cooking.
