What The Mac!?

In this project, students are tasked with designing 3 boxes of macaroni and cheese. This could be redesigning an existing brand, or creating a new brand. The boxes could be any form factor, but consideration should be taken to create packaging that makes economical sense for the product.

What The Mac!? is an original brand, inspired by classic Southern and Midwestern barbecue. These flavors may not be what a consumer expects to find in a box of prepackaged macaroni and cheese, but were carefully selected to be appetizing despite the odd concept! Western inspired, rustic elements were used throughout the packaging to invoke the essence of a country barbecue, without leaning too heavily into western motifs that could potentially make the brand feel like a novelty rather than a legitimate product.
